LOCKSMITH TECHNICIAN
Bakersfield Locksmith is very proud to serve our community since 1995. We are family owned and operated and have worked hard to become a reliable community resource for Lock and Key security needs. Times change and we realize the need to change along with them. We offer lock services like programming key fobs for vehicles, making duplicate Chip and High-Security Auto Keys, and installing and servicing the new Smart Locks for Residential use. We also assist with Business hardware, Electrified hardware, and Access Control. We strive to consistently provide high-quality service to our customers.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Full-time, 5 days a week
- $50,000 - $60,000 earnings
- Paid vacation and sick leave
- Production bonuses after training is complete
- Company sponsored 401 K after 3-month probation

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a successful Locksmith applicant, you will undergo on-the-job skills training with our management and lead locksmiths.
- As your skills grow, you will begin to actually perform the work yourself with the oversite of experienced personnel. Eventually, you will be released to perform your own service calls and earn Production Bonuses.
- Each of our Locksmiths hold a personal Locksmith License, and work under Bakersfield Locksmith's business licensing
- You will be responsible for greeting customers, discussing their lock/security needs, presenting solutions, creating those solutions and completing the service and receiving payment.
- Each Locksmith has a dedicated company van which they are responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels for basic service, communicating any special order materials to management, and project follow-up for completion.
OUR BEST CANDIDATE:
- Must conduct themself with a high level of integrity
- Have strong verbal communication skills
- Be drug-free
- Have a clean DMV report
- Be able to pass an intensive Bureau of Investigation background check with no felony convictions
- Will have strong problem solving skills
- Be a great team player but, be able to work independently
- Have an aptitude for general mechanics or machinery
- Be a lifelong learner
